New Beginnings is intended as a marker for the metal element. It’s an intuitive painting, meaning it came about naturally with no specific intention and was painted in a very loose, go whichever way it wanted to, style.

The metal element is suggested by the grey, white and silver colours and by the use of lead pencil. The rounded markings also suggest the circle shape which, in Feng Shui, is associated with the metal element - supportive and strong.
